Thank you so much for visiting my new site! One of the privileges of being an actor, aside from exploring the world through the eyes of another, is that I get to meet and learn from some of the most incredible and talented people in the world. This site is a glimpse, a sneak peek if you will into my journey,  I hope you'll come along. Also, check out some of my latest posts and updates below and let me know what you think.

Self-described as a country boy by way of Chicago, Semaj Miller grew up on the Windy City’s storied South-side.  As a kid he wanted to be a lawyer until his father snuck him into a showing of “What’s Love Got to Do With It” thus began a life-long love affair with all things Tina and ACTING. This led to his star turn as “Teen Angel” in a high school production of Grease where he learned the literal value of falling on your face before a live audience. Since then he’s been BLESSED to travel far beyond his own imagination to work with and meet artists from across the globe. A lifetime removed from the infamous face plant, Semaj managed to pick up a couple degrees along the way- a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Syracuse University and an Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Professional Acting Training Program at the University of Washington, School of Drama. Success aside, both on and off stage he's still that same kid from the South-side of Chicago whose hope remains the same; that hearts can be healed through the power of story telling.

Great news! Semaj is currently appearing as Larry in Seattle Rep's critically acclaimed production of Fat Ham. Currently running until May 12. The Fat Ham sizzle reel can be found here.

#MoreLife, a short film co-written by and starring Semaj is now streaming on YouTube! To watch the award-winning short film, click here

Semaj's autobiographical one man show Sweet Bea's, a humorous homage to his hometown of Chicago, played to a sold-out audience in Los Angeles. For a behind the scenes look at the show click here.

Semaj is managed by Gerard George at CSP Management, a division of Citizen Skull Productions! And his agents are Circle of 10 Talent (Los Angeles), Shirley Hamilton (Chicago), and TCM Talent (Seattle).

Stay tuned for more exciting news coming soon!

Word on the Street

"Semaj Miller struts in as Larry (Laertes), a soldier home on leave. But this seemingly one note Marine has hidden depths and Miller brings them out beautifully. His arc throughout the piece is a stunner."

-Jay Irwin,

"Jay is at once a champion at the top of his field... relegated to eternal underdog status, playing a game he can never win. Semaj Miller is a marvel navigating this range, capturing Jay's immense charisma as well as both the fire and deeply buried pain that drive him."

-Vivian Kane,

"A masterful work of history and theatre... Miller is priceless as the even smarmier Southern power broker General Knight."

-Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun-Times

"Semaj Miller... a performing understudy for the original production at Victory Gardens, is sensational as Chad Deity. Semaj makes the most of his opportunity with his unlimited power and passion for the role."

-Colin Douglas, Chicago Theatre Review
